Setting Remote UI

You can set whether to enable the Remote UI (User Interface) to operate the machine and change settings.

NOTE
For more information on the Remote UI, see "Remote UI."

Press

→ [Management Settings] → [License/Other] → [Remote UI].

Select [On] or [Off].

[On]:	Settings can be specified and the machine can be operated through the Remote UI.
[Off]:	Settings cannot be specified and the machine cannot be operated through the Remote UI.

If you select [On]:

Select [On] or [Off] for <Use SSL> → press [OK].

[On]:	SSL is used to communicate.
[Off]:	SSL is not used to communicate.

[On]:	Prints with URL specified.
[Off]:	Cannot print with URL specified.

If you select [Off]:

Press [OK].

NOTE
Before setting <Use SSL> to 'On', it is necessary to set a default key in Preferences (from the Settings/Registration screen). (See "Changing the Key Pair Used With SSL Encrypted Communications.") Any changes made to <Use SSL> are also applied to <Use SSL> in [MEAP Settings] in Management Settings (from the Settings/Registration screen). (See "MEAP Settings.") The Remote UI is enabled only after you restart the machine (the main power switch is turned OFF, and then back ON). For instructions on restarting (turning the main power switch OFF and then ON) the machine, see "Main Power and Control Panel Power."
