System Requirements

This section describes the system requirements for the Access Management System.

Client Computer (AMS Printer Driver Add-in)

Supported Devices

The Access Management System supports devices (that support AMS) in which User Authentication is running, a license for the AMS has been registered, and AMS is enabled.

Client Computer (AMS Printer Driver Add-in)

To restrict users from printing from computers, the AMS Printer Driver Add-in must be installed to the printer driver of devices that support AMS. The system requirements for the client computer (computer to print from) are as follows.

Supported Printer Drivers

One of the following printer drivers must be installed in the computer in advance.

Canon UFR II Printer Driver V2.90 or later, earlier than V20.00, V20.60 or later

Canon PCL 6 Printer Driver V6.90 or later, earlier than V20.00, V20.60 or later

Canon PCL 5e/5c Printer Driver V8.90 or later, earlier than V20.00, V20.60 or later

Canon PS 3 Printer Driver V4.90 or later, earlier than V20.00, V20.60 or later

Supported Operating Systems

NOTE
An appropriate version of Internet Explorer needs to be installed on the above operating systems. Port number 8000 is used for HTTP communication and 8443 is used for HTTPS communication. Although print restrictions are also normally applied when you print from the Windows Store app in Windows 8/Server 2012, these print restrictions are not displayed in the print settings on the screen.

Computer

CPU:
Pentium 4 processor, 1.8 GHz or faster (Recommended: Pentium D processor, 2.4 GHz or faster)

Memory:
1,024 MB or more (Recommended: 1,024 MB or more)

Hard Disk:
25 MB minimum (Space required for installation)

Display Environment:
SVGA 800 x 600 or higher resolution, 65,536 colors or higher color (Recommended: XGA 1,024 x 768 or higher resolution, 16,777,216 colors or higher color)

IMPORTANT
Operations may become slower when the AMS Printer Driver Add-in is installed, depending on the performance of the computer.

Add-ins that can be Installed on the Same Computer

Canon Encrypted Secured Print Driver Add-in for Client PC

IMPORTANT
You cannot specify the user name in the dialog box that is displayed when printing by the Secured Print function of the printer driver or the Encrypted Secured Print Driver Add-in for Client PC. (If you are logged in as a user with Windows administrator privileges, you can specify the user name, but it is ignored.) Printing is executed using the user name displayed in [Current User Name] on the [AMS] page.

IMPORTANT
